Role:

The IT Systems & Network Administrator will report directly to the Senior IT Systems Administrator and will be responsible alongside other system administrators for the administration of all company computer systems (excluding the ERP system). The role will require a variety of system and network skills to provide a reliable, comprehensive and diverse IT platform to assist the business in meeting its goals and responsibilities

 

Duties will include:

The role will require taking an active part in the continuous development of IT systems by providing data and systems in a manner that the business can use to its advantage. Research and development of new systems will be required to help the business gain a competitive advantage over the competition and bring further efficiencies.

Specific areas of involvement will be;

  • Microsoft 365 (M365), SharePoint, and Teams Support:
  • VMware Infrastructure and Network Storage
  • Network Infrastructure and Wireless Technologies
  • System Monitoring, Performance Optimization, and Security
  • Integration, Collaboration, and Learning
  • Network Storage Solutions
  • System Administration Support
  • Documentation and Support
     

Essential skills, experience and knowledge requirements:

The successful candidate must;

  • Excellent communication skills – oral and written
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Problem solving aptitude and skills
  • Proactive approach to learning
  • Full driving license to travel to different sites within the MacTaggart Scott group of Companies
  • Microsoft Active Directory
  • Networking skills
