Further to our last statement on the subject matter, we wish to provide a further update on MacTaggart Scott’s response to this ever evolving situation, given the recent updates provided by the UK Prime Minister and the First Minister of Scotland on the withdrawal of a number of restrictions on our path out of full lockdown.
Travel restrictions within the UK have now started to ease, and the nation is starting to ‘open up’ in many respects. However, we remain mindful that social distancing measures in workplaces remains in full force.
Cognisant of the reduced restrictions, but balancing these against the ongoing advice on workplace H&S, many staff who can securely and effectively work from home remain doing so, and our production facility continues to operate to an appropriate capacity, with alternate working patterns and enhanced health and safety requirements in place, to maintain operation of key defence assets and programmes.
We remain very hopeful that the UK restrictions will continue to be lifted as COVID cases decrease, and over the coming weeks our Board of Directors will continue to review the guidance being provided by our Government to adjust our working practices wherever we can.
We hope that you will both understand and continue to support our approach during these difficult times. We will continue to provide further updates as necessary on an ongoing basis.
Thank you for your continuing understanding and patience in this matter.
