Operationally capable and mission-critical
The large area lift platforms on the Queen Elizabeth Class can accomodate a Chinook helicopter with rotor blades extended. Alternatively, two F-35B aircraft can be lifted together - a 70 ton load.

Multiple Aircraft
The MacTaggart Scott aircraft lifts on the Royal Navy's Queen Elizabeth Class aircraft carriers were designed to lift two joint strike fighters (F-35B aircraft) from the hangar deck to the flight deck. The lift platforms can alternatively accommodate a Chinook helicopter.

Chain Drive
The MacTaggart Scott aircraft lifts on HMS Ocean are fit for HM The Queen. The chain drive ensures a smooth journey and the platform stops level with the deck.

Modular
The lifts are designed, assembled and tested in modular form prior to installation.

Safety Systems
The chain drive systems have dual-redundant, fail-safe braking systems which are activated automatically at standstill, on over-speed, when an emergency push button is pressed or when there is a power failure.
