Engineering comes first at MacTaggart Scott. The 50 strong Engineering Department is equipped with a range of analytical and programme management software:
- 3D Computer modelling: Pro/Engineer CAD
- Stress Analysis : FEA ( Mechanica), ANSYS
- Mathematical modelling: Mathcad, Simulink, LabVIEW

MacTaggart Scott has a wide-ranging capability with conceptual design, analysis, CAE & mathematical modelling on the same site as a comprehensive manufacturing and full-scale test facility. This structure ensures an optimised concurrent engineering approach and enables reliable project management and effective risk analysis.
