MacTaggart Scott has designed and manufactured over 400 mast raising systems for use on submarines worldwide. The first Quiet Modular Mast (QMM) went to sea in the late 1990s and developments of this concept form the basis of the Company's current product range.

MODULAR DESIGN

The QMM is a flexible, modular system that is readily configured to accept optronics, radar and communications payloads or to perform snort induction and diesel exhaust roles.

SEA ENVIRONMENT

The QMM design takes account of the sea environment in which it operates.
It is designed to survive long-term submersion and operation at the sea surface.

POSITIVE CONTROL

The QMM is extended and retracted under power in both directions. It does not rely on gravity for lowering.
